The following are press releases and notifications of atmospheric fireball events (bolides). Information in the releases is derived from optical and infrared sensors aboard United States Government satellites.
Commencing in August 2008, each release includes a visible-light intensity versus time waveform, as well as an integration of that waveform depicting the event's radiated energy.
Note: An up-to-date listing of satellite-detected bolide events is now maintained by the Western Meteor Group and by NASA CNEOS. The archive below is retained for historical reference.
